14 pc big band!
In the past 14 years, we've played more than 550 dates for all
types of dances, weddings, and parties.
Booking rates vary according to the night of the week, the location of the
booking, and the size of the band.
Of course, we prefer to play with our 14 piece big band, because we think it
sounds the best, but some locations are too small for such a group.

Jerry O'Hagan and his Orchestra is a classic Big Band specializing in Swing and
Ballroom dance music. Our play list includes Waltzes, Rhumbas, Sambas, Cha-chas,
and Polkas in addition to classic swing number's from the Swing Era. The full 14
piece instrumentation includes 4 saxes, 3 trumpets, 2 trombones, piano, bass,
drums, and a female vocalist. Jerry plays jazz clarinet, writes many of the
arrangements, and leads the band.
The band was founded in 1990. Jerry studied music at Bemidji State University,
the University of Minnesota, and the Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA.
While at Berklee, he was a student of Joe Raposo, who wrote the music for the
television show Sesame Street. The next year he had arranging lessons with
Johnny Richards, who was Stan Kenton's chief arranger for many years. Jerry
played clarinet in the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra for three years and has
played with many bands in the Twin City area, including the Jules Herman
Orchestra.
The band also features quality musicians who have played with such big name
entertainers as The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Larry Elgart, Mel Torme, Artie Shaw,
Ray Charles, Maynard Ferguson, and others.
We have excellent vocalists available to sing with the band also.
